today we talk about guitar speed 

and how to improve it . 

there are practices and 
techniques for increasing speed
as long as the piece is 
at your level or (better)


a level backwards compared to
 the most difficult thing that you are 
playing on the guitar.


1) if you play an hour a day,
gymnastics training on the 
same piece should not exceed 40 minutes. 


So you play the song three times
using the metronome 
( with a short pause )


First very slow, 
then at the right speed 
then speed a little above what you can.


day by day try to increase 
the speed in the middle, 
the right one for you.


2) Then play the piece three more times 
with a very short pause and without metronome


at the second time try a very artistic interpretation with your fantasy on dynamics, growing, decreasing ( Crescendo , Diminuendo )

if you make a lot of mistakes the 
third time it's ok,
you're working for the next day.

After a week you will already be faster.

Choose short pieces at the beginning, so you can do this guitar training in 20 minutes. You will be able to use the remaining 40 minutes for other pieces and other techniques. If you listen to your teacher go much faster than you remember that he does not play the piece at its maximum level but three, four six eight levels behind the most difficult piece he can play! It will also be easier for you when you can see certain levels from the top of the mountain that you have climbed Remember also that the guitar is gymnastics before becoming art but that you must also train yourself in the musical interpretation which very often is more important than speed.
