Rest Stroke and Free Stroke

here I talk about rest troke

( That sometime I like to call in spanish  apoyando )

and free stroke .

Two ways techniques to touch your guitar.


Free Stroke is when you pluck the guitar string by releasing the finger of the right hand. Rest Stroke is when you pluck the string of the guitar by placing the finger of your right hand on the string above

At the beginning of the study, some guitarists are more predisposed as natural talents to the use of the free stroke, Others guitarists are more inclined for the rest stroke . Since it is good to learn both, it is better to start with the free stroke that is useful for arpeggios for example my composition Angels Angels composed by Daniele Magli

to play Angels there are two formula arpeggios with free stroke p,i,a,i and then the formula p,i,m,i,a,i,m,i and then a scale to play with rest stroke

simplifying: with the classical guitar nylon strings when you make arpeggios you can use the free stroke and when you make the scales you do the rest stroke (and there are already two colors for your sound).
